We decided that the only way to celebrate the Festival’s twentieth anniversary was not a self-praising work but a project that would highlight the people who have made this Festival. This is how we devised Vent’anni, a series of video-interviews to 45 Italian artists who have taken part in Danae Festival through all these years and whom we asked to tell us about their twenty-year-old selves, the scenarios, the maps of places, the relationship they had with arts in those days. The time span ranges from being twenty in the late 1970s to the mid-2000s. A touching and surprising mosaic of different times, a tale of different scenes, choices, revelations, that indirectly talks about us and our Festival as well, and generates issues and reflections going beyond the single biographies, since they relate to each human being in their search for self-determination.

Teatro delle Moire is a company founded in 1997 by Alessandra De Santis and Attilio Nicoli Cristiani, who shared a common educational and performing background. Interested in the investigation of new forms of stage codes, Teatro delle Moire has experienced many different methods of creation and performance. Because of this approach, its productions cannot be defined according to any specific categories and they all stem from a research work mixing theatre and dance, and far from any formal codes.
During these years, the shows created by Teatro delle Moire were performed in various festivals and venues such as Triennale/Teatro dell’Arte (Milan), Teatro Franco Parenti (Milan), Festival di Santarcangelo (Santarcangelo – RM), Festival Teatri di Vetro (Rome), Kilowatt Festival (San Sepolcro –AR), NID Platform (Lecce), Fabbrica Europa (Florence), Short Formats (Milan), Teatro Elfo Puccini (Milan), Teatro Fondamenta Nuove (Venice), Nuovo Teatro Nuovo (Naples).
