post-show talk, moderated by Alessandro Pontremoli
This important anniversary of the Festival marks the return of Silvia Rampelli, mastermind of Habillé d’Eau, a radical artist, unmatched in both the Italian and foreign scene. With no direct reference to contemporary choreography, the works by Habillé d’eau are based on a perceptual hypothesis where everything is a sense datum, a force field whose solitary and tense figures are equally body, time, space, light, silence, sound, an immersion into a world that takes shape in the audience’s mind, that becomes event, language. It is an investigation centred on the body, on its surface and limits: involuntary and unfathomable matter when exposed, source of sense before and beyond words.

Silvia Rampelli, degree in Philosophy, founded Habillé d’eau with Alessandra Cristiani, Gianni Staropoli and later Eleonora Chiocchini to explore the meaning of the performative presence, researching the nature of the action, the scene as a perceptual device and focusing on the human figure as an aesthetic-cognitive object. Habillé d’eau has been produced by La Biennale di Venezia, and invited in the most influential italian festival and in France, Bosnia, USA, Poland.
