Alessandra Cristiani is a performer and dancer of unparalleled force. Her body, often exposed in full nudity, is the woundrous sacred dress, mysterious and ambiguous, that the artist has been creating over the years and now offers to the spectators’ eyes, like a threshold enticing towards something invisible, unutterable. A landscape, the body as a place and a journey made by the beholders. Inspired by Marcello Sambati’s poem, Clorofilla is a reflection on the body as a “relic”, with the story and the legends it brings along. It’s the need to have a poetic look at the untamed, the uncomfortable, the threatening living matter, as if those were the boundaries to inhabit and explore, blind boundaries where to recover strength and reality.
