Already familiar to Danae’s audience, Annamaria Ajmone is back with Trigger, a “moving system” whose setting varies according to the location where it is placed. The system redesigns the geometric features of the location and vice versa, the location transforms the performing act. The choreographic score, made of pre-arranged movement units put together in an instantaneous composition, unfolds in the area inside and outside the perimeter of a rectangle inscribed within the stage space. Viewers are placed along the rectangle sides, thus sharing the space of the performance.
Trigger is a personal exploration, aiming to transform a space into a “place” which temporarily becomes dwelling, crossing point, den of a body constantly listening and therefore amplifying the space inside and outside itself.
