Danae welcomes back Alessandro Bosetti, composer and sound artist with a special interest in the musicality of language and the voice meant as a stand-alone element, as well as the relationship between sound and memory. Born in Italy and currently based in France, he made his name in the Berlin experimental music scene, where in the 2000s he actively contributed to a deep transformation of sound languages (Ensemble Phosphor, compositions for Kammerensemble Neue Musik, Die Maulwerker, Neuevocalsolisten Stuttgart), and the experimental and creative radio scene in Germany and Europe (WDR, Deutschlandradio, Radio France…), becoming a prolific and award-winning author (Prix Phonurgia Nova, Palma Ars Acustica, Prix Hörspiel de La muse en Circuit, etc).
In Plane / Talea Bosetti presents a multi-broadcast concert. An “impossible choir” created by sampling thousands of fragments and pieces of anonymous voices, and then reassembling them into polyphonic garlands and textures. This cycle can be intended as the utopic sonification of an impossible community in which the voice is atomized into primary particles and later reconstituted into sonic masses and clouds. Each new iteration of Plane/ Talea is enriched by new voices collected on site, and is currently made of more than fifty anonymous voices, which will be integrated by the ones collected in Milan in the days right before the concert.
