Elisabetta Consonni got a Communications degree with a thesis on the social construction of bodies in dance and a diploma from The Place-London. Her works aim at expanding the choreographic practice by creating performing devices that incorporate social issues.
Missing Outs, a project winner of the AiR call for projects, and of the Santarcangelo Festival’s artistic residency programme KRAKK, reflects on the missed occasions, the opportunities that life did not give us, the imaginary projections of a story that never happened: the answers we did not give at the right moment, what we wish we had been in order to leave a mark either in our own or in the universal story, but also the choice of the right meal among the entries of too big a menu. Neoliberalism captures us with millions of possibilities and raises us in the belief that we can manage to get and be whatever we want, in a mechanism that makes us feel an endless sense of lacking.
